How long to beat Ocarina of Time
Two editors published different clocks in the launch week, and they are measuring different finishes. I am not averaging them into one “about 25 hours.”
Launch-week clocks
IGN’s Logan Plant, in the how-long article, reports 21 hours to the credits, 30 hours for a 100% file (heart pieces, Gold Skulltulas, bottles), and 14 hours on a second play. Eurogamer’s Lottie Lynn reports about 27 hours for a full clear that includes side quests, heart pieces, and skulltulas. Those are not the same bucket. 21 is a story clear. 27 and 30 are both “more than the story,” and they still do not match, so both stay.
IGN also says there is one save slot, so a 100% file can be overwritten, and there is no Hero Mode. I do not have a crowdsourced average, and I do not have sourced hour counts for the 1998 or 2011 versions in this pass. Those cells are blank. The collectibles page is what “100%” is pointing at. The route those hours follow is the temple order.

Questions
Is it shorter than the Nintendo 64 game?
I do not have a sourced hour count for the 1998 or 3DS versions in this pass, so I am not claiming the remake is shorter or longer.
Why do 27 and 30 both exist?
They come from two editors describing a full clear. I leave both, because merging them would invent a number nobody published.
