Walkthrough: temple order
The story order is three child dungeons, then the Master Sword, then five adult temples and Ganon’s Castle. Side caves sit beside that spine. This page is the map of the guide, not every room.
Order
Zelda Wiki’s dungeon list is the order I am using. I have not found a Nintendo page that numbers the temples, so the status column says one source. The Switch 2 remake has not published a different required order. Forest Temple puzzles did change; the sequence of medallions did not, in the sources I read.
Child: Inside the Deku Tree, then Dodongo’s Cavern, then Inside Jabu-Jabu’s Belly. You need the Kokiri Sword before the first of those. After the three spiritual stones and the Song of Time, the Master Sword opens the adult era.
Adult: Forest Temple, Fire Temple, Water Temple, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, then Ganon’s Castle. Bottom of the Well and the Ice Cavern are child side dungeons. Gerudo Training Ground is an adult side area. Bosses in that same order are on bosses. New jump and camera rules are on controls. Hours are on how long to beat.
