Forest Temple

The Forest Temple is the first adult temple, at the end of the Sacred Forest Meadow. The Hookshot crosses the broken bridge. Phantom Ganon waits at the end, and the Fairy Bow is the dungeon item.

Meadow, poes, bow, medallion

You reach the door with the Hookshot across the gap in the Sacred Forest Meadow, and the Minuet of Forest warps you back later. Inside, four Poe sisters — Joelle, Beth, Amy, and Meg — are fought by shooting their portraits. The Fairy Bow itself comes from a room of three Stalfos, which is why the bow page and this page overlap on purpose: the bow is the item, the temple is the place. I am not copying a room order beyond those two landmarks.

Phantom Ganon is the boss. The reward is the Forest Medallion, and Saria wakes as the Forest Sage. Nintendo Everything says some puzzles in this temple changed in the Switch 2 remake. It does not list the new solutions. I will not invent a “shoot the relocated eye” tip. Master Quest’s different layout is a 3DS feature and is absent on Switch 2.

If the meadow still kicks you back to the woods, you are on the wrong exit. Saria’s Song is the compass for the Lost Woods, and it is not a substitute for the Hookshot once you can see the bridge.

Follow the Poe sisters as the dungeon’s organizing goal. The bow changes which switches and distant targets you can use, so revisit the central lobby after obtaining it rather than looking for a second entrance from the meadow. Phantom Ganon is the end encounter, not a roaming Poe.

Questions

How do I enter?

Cross the broken bridge in the Sacred Forest Meadow with the Hookshot. The Minuet warps you there afterward.

What changed in the remake?

A change list says some puzzles changed. The new solutions were not printed, so I am not guessing them.
