Ganondorf

Ganondorf is the last boss, at the top of Ganon’s Castle, and only in the adult era. The fight has two phases. The remake lets you replay it in the Hall of Fallen Foes.

Two phases, one hall

Phase one is Ganondorf in his Gerudo form. The wiki names Light Arrows and a volley of energy balls as the way the duel is fought, with the Master Sword as the blade that can finish him. Phase two is Ganon, the beast, after Zelda is free. I am not writing a dodge-timing script. The Light Arrows page and the castle page already hold the prerequisites: all six sages, then Zelda’s gift in the Temple of Time.

The Hall of Fallen Foes is the remake addition. Nintendo Everything and Game8 both use that name for a timed boss rematch plus an enemy compendium. Older notes that say “Hall of Defeated Foes” mean this room. I am not claiming the fight’s hitboxes changed. The sources I read say the replay exists and the duel itself is otherwise the same story fight.

Ganon as a separate row on the boss table is this second phase, not a different castle. Phantom Ganon in the Forest Temple is an earlier copy and does not drop the ending. If you are stuck before the tower, the missing piece is usually a medallion, not a secret Ganondorf tactic.

Prepare for two distinct encounters rather than counting the tower victory as the credits. The castle escape separates them. Keep the Light Arrow and sword roles in mind when checking your inventory before the tower, and distinguish the human sorcerer’s name from the beast form when following a boss guide.

Questions

What do I need to damage him?

Light Arrows to stun him, then the Master Sword, according to the wiki. Both are adult-era tools.

Can I refight him?

Yes, in the Hall of Fallen Foes on the Switch 2 remake. Two outlets use that name.
