Map and regions of Hyrule
Hyrule in this game is a set of regions, not an open continent the size of Breath of the Wild. The table names the connections. Two regions have pages. The maps are Nintendo’s own region art.

What the remake opened
Castle Town can be walked in the remake, and Zora’s Domain unfreezes after the Water Temple. Those two sentences are the sourced geography changes. I am not claiming the map is larger in square miles, because no figure was published. A comparison with Breath of the Wild’s map is a different game; I will not invent a scale.
Lost Woods is the maze. Death Mountain is the letter gate and the heat. Kakariko, Lake Hylia, Lon Lon Ranch, and Gerudo Valley stay rows. The windmill in Kakariko is the Song of Storms page, not a second village page.
Questions
How big is the remake map?
No square-mile figure was published. I am not estimating one.
Does Zora’s Domain stay frozen?
The change list says it unfreezes after the Water Temple.
