Lost Woods

The Lost Woods are the maze north of Kokiri Forest. The correct exits lead to the Sacred Forest Meadow and back toward Hyrule Field. Saria’s Song is how the wiki says you pick the path.

A maze with a song, not a map pin

Portuguese queries call it floresta perdida and ask how to arrive. From Kokiri Forest you walk in. Wrong turns dump you back at the entrance. The wiki’s navigation key is Saria’s Song: play it and follow the way that responds. I am not printing a left-right-left string from memory, because a wrong turn list is worse than telling you the song is the compass. The button line is on the song page.

The meadow at the far side is where Saria stands and, as an adult, where the Hookshot bridge leads to the Forest Temple. Skull Kid’s mini-game in the woods pays a heart piece. A Magic Mushroom and Deku Sticks are also on the location’s item line. Skulltula counts for the woods were blank in the compiled fields, so I am not inventing “there are four.” The maze exists in both eras; adult-only routes show up later, which the field note says without listing them.

No remake source I have says the maze was flattened. If the free camera makes the paths easier to see, that is a guess and it stays off the page. Heart-piece number 36 is a global count, not a woods count.

Use the music as a navigation clue at each junction instead of assuming that every dark opening continues the route. The Sacred Forest Meadow is the destination associated with Saria; the Skull Kid clearings and Forest Stage are side stops with different rewards and should be tracked separately.

Questions

How do I stop getting lost?

Play Saria’s Song and take the exit that answers. The button line is on that song’s page.

Is there a heart piece?

The Skull Kid mini-game is the one named on the woods notes. It is not the full set of 36.
